Choose the Type of Bar

Reception bars give a couple of different choices. Some of the possible options include:

• Beer and wine bar
• Open bar

Open bars are more common, but they will also jack the wedding catering prices up. This lets the guests drink without a limit. For some wedding couples to save money, they may have chosen to go with the beer and wine bar. In some cases, they will add the signature cocktails and popular liquor drinks. Lastly, the wedding couple might choose to go with the cash-only bar where the guests buy the drinks. Many guests will think of this as rude, however. Understand the Crowd

Before you buy the alcohol, you should estimate the number of individuals who will have alcohol at the reception. Are they heavy drinkers? Consider the beverage preferences of your guests as well.
